June Tenzin is a visual artist based in Toronto. After graduating from the Stroganov Academy of Applied Arts, she studied traditional Buddhist paintings with Tibetan Masters in High Himalayan Mountains, India, Nepal. "Art for me has always been a refuge. A beautiful painting holds so many possibilities. It can be a source of something like joy, that takes me out of myself, a moment of delight, a sense of recognition in the eyes of a portrait, a way for my brain to find order. Everything in the world is in a state of change, always in flux. I try to capture the glimpses of those things that bring me a certain feeling of lightness, escape, or of joy. I find things that bring me happiness and that is what I want to share with others in my art."
